There are people who make mistakes.
There are people who have bad weekends.
And then there are people who apparently decide that one trip to jail simply isn’t enough.
According to Shawnee County Jail records, 37-year-old Timothy Virgil Wills was booked into the Shawnee County Department of Corrections twice in roughly 20 hours this week.
The first booking occurred on June 1 at approximately 9:45 p.m. on an allegation of domestic battery involving knowingly or recklessly causing bodily harm to a family member or person in a dating relationship. Jail records show the case was booked with no bond listed.

Then, before most people had even finished complaining about Monday, Wills was booked again on June 2 at approximately 5:20 p.m.

This time, the allegation was a violation of a protective order involving pretrial release, diversion, probation, suspended sentence, or supervision conditions. Once again, jail records showed no bond listed.
For those keeping score at home, that’s two bookings in two days, with the second arrest coming after authorities alleged a protective order violation.
Now, Mack isn’t a relationship expert. In fact, if you’ve ever seen the advice section of this publication, you already know that’s true.
But generally speaking, when a judge signs paperwork specifically telling someone to stay away from another person, the recommended strategy is usually to stay away from that person.
The legal system can be complicated.
That particular instruction is not.
As always, all individuals are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law. The charges reflected in jail records are allegations and not evidence of guilt.
Still, if Shawnee County starts offering frequent flyer miles for repeat bookings, somebody may already be working toward elite status.
