A KSNT television reporter was arrested early Sunday morning on suspicion of driving under the influence, according to Shawnee County booking records.
Booking records show Milyson Haylee Favella, 23, was booked into the Shawnee County Department of Corrections at 4:15 a.m. on July 19 and released on her own recognizance at 9:45 a.m. the same morning.

Favella faces two charges:
- DUI – other competent evidence
- Disobeying Lane Control Device
Both charges are associated with Shawnee County warrant 2026-57967, according to jail records provided to This Is Topeka.
The booking report lists a $5,000 own-recognizance (OR) bond for each charge and schedules an initial court appearance for 8:30 a.m. on Aug. 20, 2026.
The charge of “DUI – other competent evidence” generally indicates prosecutors are alleging impairment based on evidence other than a chemical breath or blood test, such as observations by law enforcement or other admissible evidence. A formal determination of guilt has not been made.
KSNT is the NBC-affiliated television station serving the Topeka area.
As with all criminal cases, the charges are allegations only. Favella is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
