Concerts Oct 29–Nov 2, 2025 | Northeast Kansas | Survival Guide
While Congress hoards $5 billion in emergency food funds, Northeast Kansas is throwing a weeklong sonic rebellion. From haunted jazz to drag punk exorcisms, the region’s venues are staging a full-blown cultural insurrection—one riff, synth stab, and costume malfunction at a time. Heres a few choice picks from the North East Kansas Concert Calendar at: www.neks.show Here is Live Music This Week:

“Midwest Music Foundation (MMF) is a nonprofit organization committed to connecting musicians in the greater Kansas City area with essential health care resources. On Saturday, Nov. 1, we present our 18th annual Apocalypse Meow benefit concert. The online auction will run throughout November. All proceeds from the event will go to Abby’s Fund for Musicians’ Health Care. - In 2008, local musician Abigail Henderson faced daunting financial hurdles after being diagnosed with breast cancer. Friends and fellow musicians rallied to her side, holding the first Apocalypse Meow concert to cover her medical expenses. To pay this forward to her local community, Abigail co-founded MMF. After she passed away in 2013, MMF established Abby’s Fund for Musicians’ Health Care, which has given out almost $700,000 in health care grants to musicians in need.

JUST TOPEKA!

Right, there’s just not a whole lot going on in Topeka compared to other near-by cities. The people who have been in charge of Topeka for the last 50 years have done a bang-up job of making sure that there’s very little to do in Topeka, all while begging people to “Live here, Play here”. Well, we try to keep track of everything we can as far as what’s going on in Topeka. But if you do not see YOUR event or gig here, don’t cry to us, it’s because you didn’t bother promoting your gig in a way that would show up in our Chrystal ball. You could also try going to www.neks.show and using the “Submit a Show” feature. (At this point ALL we do is live music of about any genre, so sorry, your knitting circle bake sale or your boyscouts pancake feed isn’t going to make it into the calendar. Maybe later on we’ll find a way and reason to include other kinds of events.
Show submissions
We’re dedicated to keeping the show list as up-to-date as possible. If you notice an event we’ve missed, we’d love your help! Send us the event URL, and we’ll make sure to add it to the list. [email protected].
We appreciate your help with keeping the calendar fully up to date!
