Topeka Guitar Shop Damaged by Fire; Owner Loses Dozens of Instruments
TOPEKA, Kan. — Flames heavily damaged Nappy’s Place, a longtime guitar and thrift shop in Topeka, late last week, destroying around 15 guitars and leaving smoke damage throughout the store.
The fire broke out around 11:50 p.m. Investigators believe the cause was an accidental electrical fire. The building’s west wall was burned, but firefighters were able to prevent a total loss.
The fire remains under investigation. Community members have already rallied around the store, stopping by to show support and make purchases.
