Topeka, you ever hear that saying, “lightning never strikes the same place twice”? Yeah, well, somebody forgot to tell Brandon Scott May.
On August 20th, Brandon got himself a little vacation with the county courtesy of a disorderly conduct charge. “Fighting words or noisy conduct,” the booking sheet says. Translation: he either mouthed off to the wrong person, yelled at pigeons, or started a one-man concert nobody wanted tickets to. He made bail quick — a cool $1,000, and he was back on the streets before the lunch rush.

But Topeka’s finest didn’t have to wait long for a reunion. Fast-forward just three days later, August 23rd, and Brandon was back in county blues, this time for a protection order violation under Kansas Statutes 60-3105, 60-3106, and 60-3107. And this time? No quick exit. No bond. Somebody must’ve said, “nah, keep him for a while.”

Now, we don’t know what the exact play-by-play was, but I’ll tell you this: when your weekend plans go from Netflix and chill to back-to-back mugshots, maybe it’s time to rethink your hobbies.
Brandon’s got a court date on October 1st for that first charge, and who knows what’s coming down the pipe for round two. If you’ve got a bingo card for Shawnee County bookings, go ahead and mark this one as your “two-fer.”
Stay classy, Topeka.
