Shawnee County Emergency Management has confirmed that both tornado sirens serving the Oakland area are fully operational and responding as expected.
According to Dusty Nichols:
“Both sirens in Oakland (Billard and the ‘pool’ siren) are operational and responding as expected.”
Officials say they will continue routine maintenance and troubleshooting across the county’s siren system as needed.
