The Bison District’s annual Scare-O-Ree is back, bringing a one-mile haunted trail to Oskaloosa on October 31 and November 1 from 8:00 – 11:00 p.m. at 8602 Kingman Rd. This spooky tradition is a must-see for anyone looking to get into the Halloween spirit.
What makes this event extra special is the “Friendly Frights” hour on Saturday, November 1, from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. — a time set aside specifically for Cub Scouts, neurodivergent guests, and younger children who might want a gentler, less-intense version of the trail. This inclusive approach ensures that everyone can enjoy the fun without being overwhelmed.
Admission is $10 for non-Scouts and $5 for Scouts, with tickets available at the gate. Concessions will also be on site. All proceeds benefit the Jayhawk Area Council, supporting local scouting programs.
