The Topeka Fire Department is opening its doors to the community this fall, offering a series of monthly open houses at fire stations across the city.
Beginning in October, a different station will host visitors from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. each month. The only exception is the October 4 open house, which will run earlier in the day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
At each event, families and neighbors will have the chance to:
- Tour their local fire station
- Meet firefighters and staff
- Learn more about the department’s equipment and safety programs
The open houses are designed to build stronger connections between Topeka residents and the firefighters who serve their neighborhoods.
The Fire Department encourages everyone to save the dates and spread the word.
