Just a quick reminder that the Kansas book festival is on Saturday, September 20, 2025 from 9 AM to 4 PM at Washburn University Library. It’s free! This is the biggest literary event in Kansas that occurs each year. The following is a recap of last year’s event:

Speaking of New York Times Bestselling author Alex Grecian, next is a pic with Alex and his wife Christy. Alex attended one of my book clubs and was so humble when we complimented his writing. He also attributed a lot of his success to Christy! His “Red Rabbit” has won lots of awards including a 2024 Kansas Notable Book Award!!
Thomas Fox Averill wrote “Rode,” which received the 2011 Western Heritage Award for outstanding western novel. One of the Pickleball Librarian’s favorite experiences as a faculty member was working with Tom on a faculty colloquium.
