Four powerhouse teams from Shawnee County—Highland Park, Topeka West, Shawnee Heights, and Washburn Rural—are set to make waves at the Kansas High School State Basketball Championships! Who’s bringing home the gold?

Shawnee County’s dominance in Kansas high school basketball with nine teams qualified for state tournaments. The teams from Seaman, Hayden, Silver Lake, and Rossville join Highland Park, Topeka West, Shawnee Heights, and Washburn Rural in the postseason chase for a title.


Boys Class 6A – State Basketball Championship

Koch Arena, Wichita State University, Wichita, KS

#6 Washburn Rural High School
