After eight unforgettable years of serving Topeka with craft beer and community spirit, Norsemens Brewery Company has announced they will close their doors on December 14th. This bittersweet news marks the end of an era for one of the city’s beloved local breweries, leaving behind a legacy of creativity, camaraderie, and Viking-inspired fun.
In a heartfelt Facebook post, the brewery reflected on its journey, saying, “Life happens, people change, and the wants and needs of a community evolve.” Norsemens Brewery has been a hub for unforgettable events, from quirky 0.5k “Around the Block” Marathons to spirited Lip Sync Battles and Trivia Nights. Their passion for bringing people together through craft beer has made them a cornerstone of Topeka’s local culture.
Founders Jared, Emily, Adam, and Melissa expressed deep gratitude for their patrons, employees, and the countless connections they’ve built. “We’ve truly enjoyed every moment of this journey—the people we’ve met, the friends we’ve made, our wonderful employees, and the memories we’ve shared.”
As they prepare to wind down operations, Norsemens Brewery is opening the door for a new chapter by offering their equipment, brand, and building for sale or rental. This creates an exciting opportunity for a fresh visionary to carry forward the space’s vibrant energy and spirit.
To celebrate their legacy, the brewery will host farewell events leading up to their final day. These gatherings will honor the memories created and give the community a chance to raise a glass one last time.
Let’s come together to celebrate Norsemens Brewery and the joy they’ve brought to Topeka over these eight amazing years. Here’s to making their final weeks as memorable as their journey has been!
