Tommy Stacy Thomas of Oskaloosa, KS peacefully went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 5th, 2025, after a difficult battle with lung cancer at the age of 73.
He was born on February 26th, 1951, in Tonganoxie, KS to his mother, Virginia Thomas and father, Frank Thomas. He is survived by his loving wife, Carol Thomas, of 55 years. Tommy and Carol spent their early years of marriage in Lawrence, KS before moving to Oskaloosa where he was a dedicated member of his community. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, gardening, watching western movies, and most of all, spending time with his family.
He is lovingly remembered by his 5 daughters, Anna Thomas, Virginia Butler, Diane Woelfel, Cindy Mendez, and Joyce Zachary. He was a loving grandfather to 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Tommy’s life will be remembered by the fierce love that he showed to all the people in his life. His spirit and memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Please join us for a visitation at 9 am followed by a funeral service at 10 am which will be held at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home (800 SW 6th Ave, Topeka KS 66603) on Monday, February 10th, 2025. Graveside services will immediately follow at Winchester Cemetery. After graveside services, we would love for you to join us in celebrating his life by reminiscing and sharing family time at Fellowship Bible Church (6800 SW 10th Ave in Topeka, KS) at 2:30 pm. Sandwiches will be provided.
