Born on May 18, 1960, in Topeka, Roger’s life was one marked by devotion to his loved ones, a strong work ethic, and a passion for the simple joys in life.
Roger’s early years reflected a sense of duty and resilience. At the tender age of 17, he made the selfless decision to leave school and serve his country in the Navy. His time in the military not only instilled in him a sense of pride and honor but also allowed him to complete his high school education, demonstrating his commitment to personal growth and responsibility.
After his honorable discharge, Roger embarked on a 35-year career as a truck driver, a role that took him across the country’s highways and byways. Family was the cornerstone of Roger’s life. He is survived by his loving wife, Tina Petefish, and their children: Eric, Keith, and Krystal. Roger’s family extended to his siblings, Sharon, Keith JR, Steve, Michael, Bev, and Michelle, as well as his adored 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy and fulfillment to his life.
A man of many interests, Roger found pleasure in the great outdoors. Whether it was fishing in the quiet of dawn, tinkering with vehicles in his garage, or exploring trails on his 4-wheeler, he embraced life with enthusiasm. His laughter was a common sound during family gatherings, especially when playing with his grandchildren, whom he adored immensely.
