Ravae Murdock, 79 of Silver Lake, KS sadly left our world May 2, 2025.
She was born to Albert and Leota Kuenzi on December 13, 1945 and grew up in Bern Ks. She graduated Bern High School in 1963. She married Ray Murdock, April 4, 1965 who had been a life long friend since early childhood. He proceeded her in death after 56 years of marriage. They had two daughters, Vonita and Nichole.
Ravae was always involved in all her daughter’s activities and events. She continued that commitment with all her grandkids. This included traveling to out of state competitions as a chaperone, providing transportation, being their bleacher cheering section, and providing goodies to share.
After more than 30 years of owning/operating her styling salon, Ravae retired, closing the salon and drove part time for USD 372, Silver Lake transportation department for 15 years.
Ravae was talented in a variety of areas to include music and textiles and tackled all projects with a “can do” outlook. If it required scissors or thread, strings or keys; she could produce a work of art. Her creativity and willingness to tackle any project was unmatched.
Ravae bravely fought an uphill battle with cancer these last 2 years and was known at the Stormont Vail cancer center for her colorful hats and cheery disposition. She is survived by her daughters Vonita (Lon) Lewis, Berryton Ks, Nichole Murdock, Kansas City, MO; grandchildren Brandon, Jordan, Rodger, Roman and Isaac (Vonita); Lukas, Kaleb, Peyten, and Garet (Nichole), a great grandchild, Dawson (Lukas), brother Jack (Ardena) Kuenzi, sister LaVonne (Jerry) Wilson, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Private graveside inurnment services will be held. Contributions in her memory can be sent to the Midland Hospice House in Topeka, Kansas.
