Kevin Green Sr.

In loving Memory of Kevin Dione Green Sr., affectionately known as “KK”. Kevin passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, surrounded by his devoted wife and loving family. Born on November 2, 1963, in Topeka, Kansas to the late Louis and Virgiline (Fisher) Green, Kevin was a man of faith, laughter, and unwavering love. A dedicated husband, proud father, and joyful grandfather, Kevin brought light and joy to every room. He never met a stranger—his conversations and laughter were gifts he readily shared with everyone. Kevin served as a home health aide for 10 years at Game Time Living, where his gentle care forged lasting bonds and friendships. Known throughout the community as “Coach Green,” he mentored generations of young athletes—including his son, nephews, and many others—coaching football, basketball, and baseball. He was admired for his generous spirit, his humor, and his deep desire to help others. A faithful servant of God, Kevin was an active member and deacon of both True Vine Missionary Baptist Church and Greater Deliverance Missionary Baptist Church. He found joy in prayer and loved the Lord wholeheartedly. Kevin enjoyed fishing, watching ESPN, cheering for his beloved K-State Wildcats, and cherishing time with family. His passion for life was reflected in every moment he spent with those he loved. He is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Davy (Tillman) Green; his children, Brandi Green and Kevin Green Jr.; and his seven grandchildren: Cai’Launi Brown, Cai’Lese Brown, Juelz Green, Titus Green, Kahmaira Green, Noriella Green and Amos Mitchell. He also leaves behind three godchildren—Travon Carr, Aaliayah Carr, and Jorden Meredith—and a cherished nephew-son, Louis Alexander. Kevin is also survived by his siblings Brian (Angel) Green, Gregory (Debbie) Green, Peggy Alexander, Kenneth Green, and Gary Green, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and countless friends whose lives were brighter because of him. A Celebration of Life will be held at True Vine Missionary Baptist Church on July 12th at 11:00 AM.
