Jose “Joey” Rojero, passed away in Topeka, Kansas, on June 21, 2025. Born on February 19, 1950, in the Philippines, Joey lived a life defined by a deep faith, a joyful spirit, and selfless love.
His journey took him from the Philippines to North Dakota, Wisconsin, New Mexico, Kansas, and finally back home to retired life in the Philippines. He built lasting friendships and touched lives wherever he went. Known for his generous heart and warm smile, Joey had a gift for turning strangers into friends and turning any conversation into an opportunity to share about His amazing Savior.
He was a devoted husband, father, “Kuya” (big brother), cousin, uncle, and loyal friend. Joey’s humor, humility, and unwavering support made him a source of comfort and joy in the lives of many.
He believed in living fully and loving deeply. He never missed a chance to lend a helping hand or share a kind word. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the love he inspired.
Joey’s legacy reminds us to laugh often, love well, and serve others with open hearts, as we are reminded in 1 John 3:18, “…let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.”
A memorial service will begin at 6:00 PM, Monday, June 30, 2025 at First Southern Baptist Church,1912 SW Gage Blvd.
