David Ray “Dave” Stolzenberger, 75, died at his home in Morrill, Kansas, on January 16th, 2025, while surrounded by his family. Dave was born on August 8th, 1949, at Holton Hospital. Dave was the son of John F. “Jack” and Betty (Ralston) Stolzenberger of Holton, Kansas.

Dave was united in marriage with Karen Lea Wilhelm on July 11, 1968. Dave and Karen settled in Morrill, Kansas in 1976. Together they had two sons.

Before retiring from Extru-Tech after 30 years of service, Dave spent several years erecting Morton buildings and operating heavy equipment. Outside of work, Dave enjoyed rebuilding John Deere tractors and old trucks, cruising around on his four-wheeler, spending time with his family, and giving everyone he loved nicknames.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents, wife and his siblings: Jackie (Owen) Fisher, Harold (Audrey) Stolzenberger, and Beth (Ed) Guss.

Dave is survived by his sons; Bradley John (Michelle) of Morrill, Yancey Ray (Rachel) of Morrill and five grandchildren: Caleb “George” (Kyle) of Smithville, Missouri, Valorie “Fred” (Andrew) of Hamlin, Tanner “TanMan” (Shaelyn) of Morrill, Ali “Albert” of Milwaukee, Oregon, Adalyn “Squirrel” and three great-grandchildren: Vanessa “Red”, Rowan “Little Bob” and Raven “Chirp.”

Per Dave’s wishes, he has been cremated. He will be taking his final ride in his ’57 Ford pickup to the Morrill Cemetery on a nice warm day. There will be no funeral, but a small private memorial service will be held at a later date.
