Brian McPherson, 66, of Topeka, passed away on January 7, 2025, at Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas.

He was born on July 14th, 1958, in Topeka, the son of Wallace and Sue (Ferrin) McPherson.

Brian was an extremely hard worker his entire life. He was currently employed by Old Dominion and for many years previously, had co-operated a family business, Sunshine Recycling in Topeka.

Brian is survived by his wife, Jan McPherson of the home. He is also survived by his children Whitney (Sam) Cartmill and Wade (Sara) McPherson, and their mother, Debbie McPherson, all of Topeka. Brian was an amazing Grandpa to three lucky girls, Lily, Elle and Luna. He enjoyed that role immensely and never hesitated to play with or spoil them.

Other family members include his brother Mike (Chris) McPherson, sister-in-law, Diana (Larry) Favand, and many aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces. 

Brian was incredibly kind, a friend to many, and was always willing to help anyone in need. His final act of kindness was to give the gift of life through organ and tissue donation. He will be missed by all who knew him.

A memorial visitation will be held at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home on Sunday, April 6th, from 2-4pm, with memories of Brian shared at 3:30pm.
