It is with broken hearts and profound love that we remember and honor the life of Tony Barksdale Jr, affectionately known to so many as “Bomebee” Born on December 8, 1996, at 5:07 pm, in Topeka, KS. Born to the parents of Tony Barksdale Sr. and Ariane Davis, Tony entered this world with a light that would touch everyone lucky enough to have known him.

Tony accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at the early age of 10.

Tony was a pure spirit that radiated love, compassion, and joy. His smile was so wide and warm and had the power to light up any room and bring comfort to those around him. He was a love bug that loved on everyone he came into contact with. He carried a natural charisma that drew people in. It didn’t matter if you were family, friend or a stranger, his heart was so full of genuine kindness and care and he spread it freely to all those around him.

Known by most for his athleticism, Tony was a superstar in basketball and football, pouring his energy, determination, and passion into every game he played. Although his talent on the court & field were undeniable, his talents didn’t stop there. He was a creative and poetic soul that loved music & often found drawing or expressing himself through heartfelt poetry as an outlet. These are only glimpses into the depth of his spirit, a soul full of emotion, thought, and love.

For his family, Tony was much more than his talents. He was a protector, a rock, and a source of unwavering support. His love knew no bounds, and there wasn’t much he wouldn’t do for the people he loved. Family was everything to him, and some of his most cherished moments were at family gatherings, where his laughter was contagious, and his presence made everything feel more complete.

He also valued his friendships deeply and was loyal and dependable. Tony built bonds that lasted, offering the same love and support to his friends as he did to his family. He made people feel seen, heard, and loved.

Though his time with us was far too short, the impact of Tony’s life will be felt forever. He leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, creativity, and joy. Tony’s memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched, and in every shared story, every smile, and every moment of togetherness, will be cherished.

Rest easy sweet Bomebee
We love you forever and always, Love Mom and Dad.
