Stanley C. Henderson passed away peacefully on May 2, 2025, at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka, Kansas. He was born on November 3, 1960, in Topeka, Kansas to Elizabeth Frierson-Henderson and Harry O’Neal.
Born the youngest of eleven siblings, Stanley was the cherished baby brother. He attended Belvoir Elementary School and Capitol City School through the 9th grade.
Stanley was married to Lorraine Fisher Fondren who passed away on June 12, 2019. He is also preceded in death by both parents; brothers: Clemon Henderson Jr., Billy Henderson Sr., Joel Edward Henderson, Fred Henderson, Samuel Henderson Sr. and Michael Henderson; and sister, Joyce Manning.
Stanley enjoyed life despite the physical limitations he may have had. He was a party person who loved dancing and his Blues, playing dominoes and pool, was known for his love of cars and enjoyed good food (As slender as he was, he could EAT!).
He loved his family and friends and would do his best to help everybody out however he could with whatever he had. He was very protective of those he loved and was known to run around checking on you: “You good? If you good I’m good” or “I’m just checking on you.” Stanley always made sure his people were taken care of. He loved to shop for himself and would often buy things for others. He was known for looking good and stepping out.
Left to reminisce about days gone by and cherish his memory are his siblings: Horace Henderson (Ella Mae), Topeka, Kanas, Thelma Lucas, San Francisco, California and Rhonda Frieson (W.C. Henderson), Topeka, Kansas; nephews, nieces, family and friends.
