Nicholas Isaac Claspill Sr., 36, of Tecumseh, Kansas, passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2025, as the result of an accident near Rossville, Kansas. He was born on February 21, 1989, in Topeka, Kansas, the son of Dexter Claspill II and Wilma (née Wilson) Claspill. Nick attended Shawnee Heights High School and valued time spent with family and friends. He had a deep love for music, enjoyed working on vintage cars, and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He is survived by his parents; his children, Elizebeth Kersey-Claspill, Nicholas Claspill Jr., and Sophie Silver-Claspill; his brothers, Troy Claspill and Anthony Wilson; his nieces, Aaliyah Claspill, Destiny Vaughn, Alyssa Stiuso (Chris), Lilly Mullikin (Blake), and Carolyn Claspill; his nephew, Mason Claspill; his aunt, Cheryl (née Claspill) Foss; his uncle, Mel Castro; his cousins, Sarah (née Foss), Patrick, Gavin, Gwen, and Gabriel Hodgson; and many close friends who were his chosen family. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carolyn Nadine (née Hawkins) Claspill, Dexter Hilton Claspill I, and Resurrection Wilson; and his aunt, Melba (née Castro) May. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Redemption Center Church, 1017 N.W. Gordon St., Topeka, Kansas. Visitation with Nick’s family will begin at 12:30 p.m., and the ceremony will begin at 1:00 p.m. The service will include an opportunity for attendees to share their favorite memories of Nicholas. Following the service, a potluck dinner in Nick’s honor will be held in the church hall. Those who wish to participate are encouraged to bring a dish to share. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to assist with cremation services. May the memory of Nicholas Isaac Claspill bring comfort and peace to all who knew and loved him.
