Well folks, they say lightning never strikes twice. Unless, of course, your name is Sunny Dee Painter, and you’ve decided May 6th is the perfect day for a Topeka two-step: one foot in jail, one foot back out, and repeat.

Our protagonist kicked off her Tuesday morning by getting herself booked at 11:40 a.m. for what sounds like a medley of “Greatest Hits from the County Codebook”—including Interference with Law Enforcement, Criminal Trespass, and that old classic, Disobeying a Lawful Police Order. After making a brief pitstop at the county’s finest holding facility and posting $2,250 in bonds, she was back on the streets by 2:50 p.m.
But before you could say “maybe just take the rest of the day off,” she made her triumphant return at 5:50 p.m. for—wait for it—Criminal Trespass again. Same offense, same mugshot, same $750 bond. That’s what we call commitment to the craft.

Sources say all of this happened under the watchful eye of KS0890100, which at this point probably has her booking info on speed dial. Ms. Painter, age 21, is now scheduled for a court appearance on June 6th at 11:00 a.m., assuming she doesn’t pop back in for an encore performance before then.
As for us, we’re just hoping she starts offering frequent flyer miles at the county jail. At this rate, she’s earned a lounge pass and a commemorative mugshot magnet.
