TOPEKA, KS – March 11, 2025 – The latest booking report from the Shawnee County Adult Detention Center includes a range of criminal charges, from violent offenses to financial fraud and drug-related arrests. The most serious charges include aggravated battery, identity fraud, and parole violations.
Aggravated Battery Case
Xavier Nathanial Young (31) was booked late Monday night for aggravated battery – knowingly causing great bodily harm or disfigurement. He is being held without bond as authorities investigate the incident.
Identity Fraud Arrest
Authorities also booked Chase Christopher Barkley (28) on charges of identity fraud, specifically using or supplying personal information to obtain documentation fraudulently. Barkley is being held without bond.
Parole Violations and Protection Order Violations
Several individuals were arrested on parole violations and are being held with no bond, including:
- Jason Patrick Beckwith (38)
- Brian Lee Mahkuk (48)
David Alan Copeland (44) was booked for violating a protection order, stalking, and harassment via telecommunications, with no bond issued for those charges.

Xiomara Marie Rodriguez (25) was booked for disorderly conduct—disturbing an assembly or meeting. She was released on a $500 bond.
