Ollie Jay Holmes 69, of Hot Springs Arkansas gained his wings to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 18th, 2025 Ollie was born on January 10th, 1956 in Hot Springs Arkansas, the son of Ledell White, Sr. and Ollie Mae White (Curry). Ollie attended Topeka Public Schools but at the age of 17 he decided to serve his country in the Military from 1972-1976. After serving he decided to go back to school to obtain his GED, after completion Ollie immediately started working in the restaurant industry for several years. Ollie decided to move from Topeka Ks, and make his home in Leavenworth Ks, where he worked at Goodwill Industry up until his recent retirement of 20 years of service. Outside of his long work history, in his spare time he enjoyed old school music, which included him two-stepping all night, dressing to impress and you knew for sure he would have a hat to match. But what he enjoyed the most was family and family gathering. The love he shared along with his funny sense of humor he will be greatly missed. He lived life with no worry, and never complained. His surviving siblings included: sisters, Rosie Mae Nix of Detroit, Michigan Tonya Sullivan (Clarence) of Topeka, Ks : 3 brothers Ledell White, Jr of Topeka, Ks. David Lee Holmes, Sr. (Jakie) of Topeka,Ks. Queton Levelle White (Jennifer) of Topeka, Ks along with his beautiful significant other Alice Moore (AJ). Ollie also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews including greats, great-great and great-great-greats! Ollie is preceded in death by his parents; Siblings Masie Lee Holmes and Verna Jean Jackson, Jeffery Cecil Allen White.
