November 19, 1956 - January 3, 2025

It is with a great sadness that we announce on January 3, 2025 Cynthia L Mack became absent from her body to be present with the Lord. She was surrounded by her loving daughter (Crystal Brown) and best friend (Kathy Hawkins).

She was born November 19, 1956 at Stormont Vail in Topeka the daughter of Rebecca A. Mack. She worked for McCrites as an Aide for 2 years, then at KNI as an Aide in Topeka. Then for AmeriPride in Topeka which she later retired from them in 2009.

Cynthia fought the cancer fearless; there was no quitting. Her heart’s desire was to keep living to spreading love to family and friends. She was devoted and compassionate to make sure her children were loved, listen to reason and share wisdom with them and others. She had passion for baking, homemade chocolate candy, cooking, grilling out for everyone. Enjoyed spend time at the beach, with family and friends watching western and horror movies, she loved to collect owls and frogs. Words cannot express how much she cherished her best friend, Kathy Hawkins. Kathy has been such a blessing and an angel to her and the family thru out the years. Our beloved sister, mother, grandmother, friend Cynthia will be forever in our hearts.

She is preceded in death by Roberta L. Mack, her oldest daughter and TaShawn Thurman, a grandchild. Rebecca A. Mack, mother and Robert Mack, Marvin Mack, Larry Mack, brothers.

Cynthia had a life partner, Charles Rias. They had been together for many years and he does survive.

She is survived by two daughters Crystal Brown and Stephanie Birdsong (Riki), eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Kitty, the beloved cat; aka baby. Along with four siblings, Linda S Cobos (Patrick) of Topeka, Albert Mack (Debbie) of Topeka, Leslie C. Mack of Topeka, Terry W. Mack (Carla) of Kansas City, Missouri, and several nieces and nephews.

Cremation is planned, per Cynthia wishes and a celebration of life for her will take place at a later time. Immediate family will disclose details regarding the small gathering to close family and friends.
