Sara Nicole Wolter White

December 9, 1974 - January 1, 2025

Sara Nicole Wolter White, 50, passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at the House at Midland Care in Topeka, KS. She died from Wilson’s Disease.

Sara was born December 9, 1974, in Newton, KS the daughter of Roger “Buzz” and Joy (Schwab) Wolter joining her two older sisters, Jamy Ann and Sandra Sue Wolter.

Sara was a hair stylist spending her professional life working at salons in Wichita, KS, St. Louis, MO and Kansas City, MO. In fact, Sara met her future husband, Todd White, while working in a salon as a receptionist in Newton, KS. They later divorced.

Todd and Sara had a beautiful family with the births of their children, Elle Minns White and Myles Drake White. Her grandchild, Yumi Minns Rolf, was born on December 10, 2022, to Elle and Sun Rolf.

The finality of Sara’s life seems as surreal as it was when her sister, Jamy, succumbed to the same genetic disease in 1979. Now the sister will rest side by side. Their father will also be beside them as their final resting place is the La Crosse City Cemetery, La Crosse, KS.

She will be remembered by her mother, Joy Carlson, her stepfather, Roger Carlson, children Elle (Sun Rolf) White, Myles White, granddaughter, Yumi Rolf, her sister, Sandy Wolter, niece, Lydia Mamalis, nephew, Hank (Julia) Mamalis, aunts, uncles and cousins. Sara leaves friends in every city where she lived, mainly because she was always a friend in the truest sense.

She was preceded in death by her father, Buzz, her sister, Jamy, grandparents, Claude and Genevieve Schwab and Frank and Ola Wolter.

We shall mourn her; we shall miss her; we shall always remember her and smile when we do. She gave us the best of herself, and she gave us the love she had to give.
