OREM, Utah — Conservative activist Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA and a close ally of former President Donald Trump, has died after being shot while speaking at Utah Valley University, according to law enforcement.

The shooting happened just after noon on Wednesday. Kirk was struck in the neck and rushed to the hospital, where doctors were unable to save him. University police now confirm the shooter is not in custody, and the campus remains under lockdown as the FBI, ATF, and local police search for the suspect.

Kirk, 31, was a rising force in Republican politics and a fixture on the conservative speaking circuit. His death comes just weeks after he called for a “full military occupation” of major American cities, saying National Guard troops and tanks were needed on “every street.” READ MORE HERE
