TOPEKA 
– Governor Laura Kelly announced Friday nine appointments to the following state boards, committee, and council.

State Fair Board
Purpose: To act as the showcase of Kansas agriculture, commerce, and industry; to provide for education and entertainment; and to present a comprehensive format that satisfies the needs and desires of people from all walks of Kansas life.

  • Dylan Evans, Lebo (reappointment)

Law Enforcement Officers’ Memorial Advisory Committee
Purpose: To advise the director of architectural services and the secretary of state historical society with regard to memorials to law enforcement officers on the State Capitol ground; to make recommendations to the governor and Legislature regarding activities commemorating the services of Kansas Law Enforcement officers; may solicit grants, gifts, contributions, and bequests for the memorials.

  • Dana Evans, Olathe

Abstracters Board of Examiners
Purpose: To license abstracters to protect the public in land transactions.

  • Scott Brown, Wichita
  • Joyce Huddleston, Tribune

Emergency Medical Services Board
Purpose: To ensure that quality out-of-hospital care is available throughout Kansas; to regulate, enforce, allocate, and make decisions in compliance with the Emergency Medical Act for all emergency medical services and providers.

  • Terry David, Lyons

Kansas Dental Board
Purpose: To adopt rules, issue licenses, and conduct hearings to revoke or suspend licenses.

  • Jill Ellner, Manhattan (reappointment)
  • Rita Burnett, Overland Park (reappointment)

Credit Union Council
Purpose: To supervise and regulate credit unions.
