Family of Missing Topeka Man Issues Statement

Chris Zubler 5/26/25.

Please let me start by asking friends and acquaintances to refrain from sending messages of
prayers, well-wishes, and concerned questions to members of the immediate family while the
search for Kaden continues. While all will be eventually appreciated, even brief texts slow our
efforts to locate Kaden. Hundreds of them collectively literally hinder our ability to search.
Kaden’s last verifiable location is the SW corner of 17th and Topeka Blvd at 7:15 PM. Kaden was
on foot at this time, walking north. We are attempting to corroborate other possible locations
but have no verifiable images at this time. It’s possible that he continued walking or that he was
picked up in a car at some point in his route. It’s very possible he was a victim of foul play.
The challenge we face is that the owners of security cameras that may assist in tracking Kaden
further on the night of 5/15/25 have policies that prohibit footage to be released to the public.
While we understand why such policies exist, we’d like to request those with access to such
cameras to please review them, and if such footage exists, contact law enforcement
persistently. Please don’t give up. If able, please also contact a member of the family as we’re
better able to react quickly. We will keep such assistance in the strictest of confidence.
We understand that law enforcement has limited resources that must be prioritized. The
quantity of resources allotted for such cases is a subject that I will perhaps address in the
future. The individual personnel we’ve spoken to have been empathetic and expressed much
regret.
Kaden has never once expressed any feelings of self-harm or given any concerns of such. Kaden
is not known to be taking any hard drugs. He has not been diagnosed with any mental illness.
He has no history of violence or aggressive behavior.
Kaden has a very loud, noticeable laugh but is otherwise not likely to stand out. His shirt may no
longer be the red one he was wearing on 5/15/25, but he’s likely still wearing red Under
Armour shoes. He will respond or react to his nickname Zube (pronounced Zoob). This can be
used to verify his identity. He is independent and will likely decline offers of help. CALL 911 then
contact a family member or email [email protected].
We, the family, are offering a $3000 cash reward for information leading to Kaden’s safe return.
Lastly: Kaden, if you hear or see this and are able, please come to one of your parents’ homes.
We all love you, and everyone who has met you adores you.

Thank you.
