Matt Pivarnik, who has served as the President and CEO of the Greater Topeka Partnership since December 2015, is set to step down from his position in May. He will assume the role of President and CEO of the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce.​KLC Journal

During his tenure in Topeka, Pivarnik played a pivotal role in the city’s revitalization efforts. Upon his arrival, he noted the limited dining and entertainment options in downtown Topeka. Over the years, his leadership contributed to significant developments that transformed the area into a bustling hub with vibrant nightlife and increased business activity. Reflecting on these changes, Pivarnik remarked on the positive shift, expressing his delight in the downtown’s evolution. ​KLC Journal

Prior to his role in Topeka, Pivarnik had an extensive career in economic development and chamber leadership. He served on the board of directors for Junior Achievement and was a member of the executive committee and board of directors for the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives. Additionally, he chaired the University of Arizona Board of Regents and the Oklahoma Chamber of Commerce Executives. ​Greater Topeka Partnership

Pivarnik’s upcoming move to Myrtle Beach marks a new chapter in his career, where he is expected to bring his expertise in community and economic development to the coastal region.
