Why We Created the Topeka Calendar

When we began creating This is Topeka, our vision was to provide a platform that celebrates all the best things about our city: its incredible food, dynamic arts, and thriving local culture. As we brainstormed, my wife chimed in with a simple but powerful observation: Topekans shouldn’t have to hunt through five Facebook groups and ten different websites just to know what’s happening in Topeka. We took her advice to heart and set out to create a comprehensive guide that would make life simpler for everyone. Our Topeka Calendar is designed to offer a master list of all the must-see events and activities in our area.
